Library Mission & History

The mission of Slater Public Library is to serve the citizens of Slater and surrounding areas with resources and services for learning and fun.

The library system holds approximately 17,000 materials, including books, audiobooks, movies, eBooks and eAudiobooks.

The Slater Public Library was created in 1927 by local citizens seeing the need for a free community library. The library has been located in three different locations and has been at the current location for 19 years.
